Philosophy Tiny Tots Preschool and Kindergarten is a licensed, non-profit, activity oriented program which enables it’s students to develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually at their individual rates. The emphasis is on individual needs. Activities include fine and gross motor skills, language arts, mathematics, and social emotional development. The program focuses on the development of skills to create a “solid academic foundation” that may be built upon throughout a child’s academic career. Providing our students with the confidence to take on new tasks and challenges will allow them to develop in school and in life! |

History In September 1974, the Longmeadow Congregational Church opened their doors to the community by starting a program for 3 to 5 year old children to gather to play and broaden the children’s learning and group cooperation. In 1975, Tiny Tots expanded from a two day to a three day program with a combined class of 3 to 5 year old children. In 1985, recognizing the developmental learning differences between the age groups, the preschool was divided into two separate classes. The 3 year old children began meeting two days a week and the 4 year old children three days per week. In 1988, Tiny Tots added an afternoon Kindergarten program to address the needs of this special age group. |
