History

In September 1974, the Longmeadow Congregational Church opened their doors to the community by starting a program for 3 to 5 year old children to gather and broaden their learning and group cooperation skills through play.  In 1975, Tiny Tots expanded from a two day program to three, with a combined class of 3 to 5 year old children.  In 1985, recognizing the developmental learning differences between the age groups, the preschool was divided into two separate classes.  The three year olds began meeting two days a week, and the four year olds continued meeting three days a week.  In 1988, Tiny Tots added an afternoon kindergarten program to address the needs of this special age group.  Now that most public schools have Kindergarten we have adapted to add an Enrichment program to enhance our preschool classes.
